I will try to create this blog in english language and therefore I first want to excuse for my horrible english - so if a native english speaking person thinks I should stop that, please do some contructive critisism by posting...... and if i´m to lazy i will write something in german too.....
to the story itself.....
i (i is from now on small - it´s annoying to write it always as a capital letter) arrived in Finland middle of July to started working at the Biogeochemistry Research Group of the University of Kuopio...
i got the honor to work with this group last year as i told in my old blog from last year and now this works actually on some research on reed canary grass -

on two researchfields - one in Maaninka (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maaninka) in North Savo Region, the second one in Linnansuo close to the the city (village) Ilomantsi in North Karelia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilomantsi or http://www.ilomantsi.com/en/index.php)
First of all I spent the most time until know at the Maaninka Field to do CO2 online measurements and Methane and N2O gas sampling - once we have been in Linnansuo to do CO2 measurments......
now its the 7th week for me in work and i really like it to be here...... lets see what will happen in the next few weeks...

Maaninka region in Pohjois Savo (Northern Savonia)
Ilomantsi region in Pohjois Karjala (Northern Karelia)
so, nun a bisserl was in "deutsch" - bin seit mitte Juli da und grad voll am hackeln - hab bis jetzt viel arbeit ghabt - vorallem die feldarbeit bei der wir kohlendioxid und methan welches vom erdboden abgegeben wird messen ist viel arbeit, aber um herauszufinden ob´s was mit dem klimawandel auf sich hat oder nicht is halt viel arbeit - darum ein hoch auf alle idealisten auf dieser welt, welche für wenig geld ihr ganzes leben lang arbeiten......
sonst gibs leider bis jetzt noch nicht viel info - die freizeit hab ich bis jetzt eigentlich nur in diversen lokalen in kuopio verbracht - also habs eh ganz lustig ghabt
